This morning we headed home. On the way though we stopped at the Ghirardelli Factory and shopped the outlet store. Yep that's the big bag! :)

Kent and Aimee Take The Bay Area
Kent had a training session in Sunnyvale on Monday and Tuesday, so I tagged along. We flew in early Saturday morning and drove up to Sonoma Valley to visit a few of our favorite places from the last time we went. First we hit B.R. Cohn and got our favorite olive oil, then we went to Arrowood Winery because Kent got his favorite hat there last time. Then it was on to Korbel Champagne Cellars. We got to go on their tour which wasn't nearly as good as last time. Our tour guide had no personality.
We also got to drive on the Golden Gate Bridge which we didn't get to do last time and it was pricey! California has a lot of toll roads.
The next day we drove to Monterey and went to the aquarium. It is always so much fun to go see all the fish! Prepare for picture overload!

We had lunch at a Mexican restaurant that had good food but even a better view. It was beautiful!
Then we drove down the coast a bit and took in the views.
The next two days Kent was in meetings. So I went shopping one day and then the next I went to the Winchester Mystery Mansion. It was really interesting but very cold! The Bay Area had the coldest weather they had had in 10 years. Lucky us!
We had a lot of fun but it's also nice to be home to the freezing cold.

Oh Aimee I can't believe you went to the mexican restraunt in Monterey. We loved that place. And if you are fish people the End of the warf has the best Sword fish ever. In fact it is the only place I have ever been able to find sword fish. I'm not a fish person, but I love that one. Of coarse we would only go when mom and dad came to visit and took us there. I miss living there.
Glad you had fun. Next time you go you should go play at the Denis the Menis park. It's fun even for adults! Big slides.
Great pics!!
I'm trying to figure out how come Rob doesn't get to go anywhere like that for "training". All his trips are in the middle of nowhere mid-west or Chicago in the dead of winter. And he wonders why I don't go with him... Looks like you guys had fun!
Oh that totally make me miss living out there. It was truly the most fun year of my life. Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Fran...so many good memories. Thank heavens I have scrapbooks with all those memories recorded.
