The Dangers Of Dragging Out Christmas

Folks tend to get a little goofy.

Again with the giant head! I think I will go and cry my giant tears on my giant pillow.

Christmas Has Been Canceled

For the first time in the history of man, Christmas for the Reynolds family was canceled. My parent's got a huge snow storm with about 8 inches falling in the morning so my dad called and told us not to come. It was Kent's Christmas wish come true. He likes my family, but he likes to stay home even more. We had a nice quiet Christmas and got to play with all of our new toys. Kent got this snazzy new helicopter.

I got Wii Fit but luckily there aren't any pictures of that. It asked me if I found myself tripping a lot (sad thing is, I do). And after playing with it just the one day I was actually stiff! We had a very good Christmas and we get to do it all over today because Christmas was rescheduled for Sunday.

On Christmas Eve we had the annual Willie Christmas party. There were lots and lots of little boys running around. Here's a picture of me with Noah or as he put it "Noah and Kentandaimee"

I just realized this is the only picture of Kent and I together this Christmas. Man, I have a huge head.

And finally.....that huge storm that hit my parent's house on Christmas morning came to our house Christmas night (ok, I'm no meterologist, but I think it was actually a different storm). So the next morning Kent finally got to use the new snowblower. It was a pretty big storm so there was lots of snow to blow and the neighbor would have been working all day to get us all dug out.

Happy Festivus!

I have been waiting all year for the airing of grievances and the feats of strength. I still haven't found exactly the right Festivus pole but I am sure it will be made of aluminum. Kent and I will soon be having our wrestling match since we can't decided which of us is the head of the family and there are basically just the two of us here anyway. Whoever gets pinned to the floor first gets to be the head I guess.

Festivus, a holiday for the rest of us!

New Holiday Tradition

I have decided to make a new holiday tradition. An annual trip to Insta-Care for an infection! Flonaise, decongestants, antibiotics, yogurt to fight off the effects of the antibiotics, these are all things I will think of when I think of Christmas. It is the season of giving so I also decide to wait until the weekend to cave in and see a doctor so I can go to Insta-Care and let someone there give me a nice virus to go along with my sinus infection. It's all in the spirit of giving. This year the doctor even gave me a bonus gift of a nasal irrigator and it wasn't even on my list! I am truly blessed this holiday season.

I went back to my blog entry last year where I decided to turn Insta-Care into holiday date night and read then next entry where Kent got the flu, so I am really hoping that doesn't turn into a tradition too.

Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

It finally got around to snowing, which you know in a couple of weeks I will be complaining about it, but you have to have snow for Christmas right? I kept telling people that it wasn't going to snow this year because we bought a snow blower. So I was really excited to see it snowing Saturday morning. It started to let up and I had said something to Kent about going out to clear the walks and then I got in the tub. I heard someone outside with their snow blower and I said to Kent "Someone is already out doing their walks." Turns out someone was out clearing our walks! And the driveway. Dang good samaritans! I was actually a little ticked off that we still have not gotten to use the snow blower but it was really nice of our neighbor to do it.

Erin's Shower

Time is passing so quickly and Erin is getting married just 2 weeks from tomorrow (holy crap! two weeks from tomorrow?) Last week Muriel and I threw her a shower. She got some really nice stuff and some a little naughty.

From Boring to Busy

Where did my weekend go?! It has been crazy busy. On Friday we had our annual work Christmas party. We bought out the movie theater and saw "Bolt". It was a very good movie, highly recommended. But most of the time our work party is more stress than fun to me and I get very ornery before it. By the time it was over I had a killer headache. I went home and rested and then Muriel came over so we could buy gifts for and plan Erin's wedding shower. During this I got to only stop for two seconds at KimberLeigh's baby shower. (Sorry KimberLeigh, I feel bad I couldn't stay longer) Then we went to pick up Erin and low and behold she had a beautiful engagement ring! We went to dinner and did a bit more shopping before I decided I better head home and get some rest for the next day ahead of me.

I got to bed early, then woke up at 2:30 and couldn't go back to sleep since I knew I had to wake up early in the morning. So I got up and wrapped a few presents. In the middle of the night! I finally got back to sleep at 5:30 and had to wake up at 7:15 to get ready to go to Salt Lake for the Festival of trees. There were so many trees this year! It seemed like more than ever. I didn't get many pictures though because the battery on the camera died but here are a couple. We went to lunch and then went to Ikea. From there we went to Tai Pan. It was a very busy day. Today we mostly got to take it easy but we got a little cleaning done. I am hoping this next week slows down a little but it looks like I'm busy until sometime in January. Wish me luck.
