Kent and Ron worked very hard on Saturday to transplant this tree from their yard to ours. It turned out to be quite a job. We were so excited to get a tree in our yard! Ignore the grass though. It didn't make it through the hot summer last year with no sprinkler system. Hopefully we can revive it this year. We have ordered 10 more maple trees for the park strip and Ron and Mary Jean have two honey locust trees that we are hoping to get out next weekend. They are pretty big though so it might be quite a job.
This afternoon I took the rake out to the small flower garden in the front yard to rake out the flowers I should have pulled out last fall and what do I find?
Apparently pansies are a little more winter hardy than I thought. Almost all of the pansies that were in that front garden made it through the winter. It was a nice little surprise.

I love your tree and I LOVE pansies!! Fun, fun!! Miss you guys. We so deserve to get together SOON!
I am sooo jealous of the pansies!! What a great surprise! I didn't even get any bulbs planted last fall so I don't even have a stitch of color. I Love the tree. Isn't it amazing how much work putting in a yard is. Good luck with that! We finally gave up on our last yard and decided the solution was to build a new house and start over. (letting someone else put in the yard was so much better) by the way, hope you're having a better week. :)
